Well I went to my Fertility Specialist today, Dr. Garza, because its day 31 and "aunt flow" has not made her monthly visit. Well of course we did a routine pregnancy test and im not pregnant! We also did an ultrasound to make sure i did not have any cyst on my ovaries (because clomid can cause cyst and if you continue clomid and have a cyst then its not doing any good, its just feeding the cyst that is already there). Well of course, my luck, i have a cyst on my right ovary (16 ml) and one on my left ovary (48 ml)! SO the Dr. choose to give me a progesterone shot to try and induce my cycle! This can go go 2 ways, i can start my cycle and when i do then we I will go back in to see if the two cyst shrank. If they are at 10 ml or below then we can go ahead and continue the clomid and do our first round of IUI. If they didnt then I will have to start birth control pills for a month to help the cyst's go away! BUT if i dont start my cycle in 15 days then i have to go back, i dont know what will happen at that point. I was really upset today, i had the feeling i had at least one cyst. So i am praying that this shot works and brings on my cycle and my two cyst shrink. This has been such a hard emotional process. I broke down in tears like gasping for air when i left the Dr. office because its constantly negative news :-( So i am praying that my cycle comes and my cyst get small enough for us to go on to round two; i pray that we get pregnant off of our first round of IUI.
Also i will be going to another specialist on Tuesday for the blood clotting disorder we found out i have (Factor Five). I will feel so much better when i get answers from that! The most i know right now is that it is a gene given from one or both parents; and i know that i only got it from one of my parents just dont know who.

i know nothing about this issue but i do know that most people that have gotten pregnant right away with iui's my friend doesnt want her fb given out (understandable) but her youtube name is kmaven04. and there are videos about her clomid use and ttc etc...
ReplyDeletethanks rita.... its really challenging.. i am hoping our chances are a whole lot better with the IUI .. hopefully this shot works, i start my cycle, the cyst shrink and we can do the clomid and IUI in march...
ReplyDeleteJust keep your head up, thats what I keep telling my sister, she might not be going through the same thing as you, but already have two seperate miscarriages to then find out its chromosomal so yeah she says shes fine, but I know its devastating :( I always told her that God will answer your prayers if you just give it time :) So therefore, keep your head up and keep us posted....I'm here if you need anything <3 you, ~Jamie
ReplyDeleteOH yes!!! They say that everything happens for a reason... i believe we have not got pregnant yet because i need to get this FACTOR FIVE under control.. or i may have lost that baby too !!!
